Iaukea has been active in Hawaii's entertainment scene since the 1970s, as a musical artist, singer, radio announcer, emcee and producer. Although his first love is the steel guitar, he is accomplished on the guitar, ukulele, upright bass and electric bass as well.
Iaukea is a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu and has often been the "on-air" emcee for their prestigious annual Song Contest. He has performed with Hawaii's top entertainers in Waikiki showrooms and has been a guest artists on many recordings.
As Hawaii's musical ambassador, he has traveled to Russia to participate in their Siberian Folk Fest, has performed in concert in Japan and entertained on Hawaii's cruise liners. Iaukea was a special invitee and flown to California to perform at Neil Young's birthday bash. His duo has been performing at the Keahole-Kona International Airport for the past six years, musically greeting visitors to the Big Island. He is a proficient teacher of the ukulele and for many years has conducted private classes at resorts and estates.
